  • Where we're going (and what we're wearing) this Summer

by Liv Thompson June 20, 2025

Where we're going (and what we're wearing) this Summer

It’s officially summer in the Queen City: the rail trail is packed; the line for Jeni’s Ice Cream is down the block; we’d all rather be poolside than at a desk. It’s hot–so, so hot–but we’re not complaining. To us, summer is a great excuse to pack our social calendars and elevate our style at the same time.

We’ve rounded up our go-to spots around Charlotte – and, of course, what to wear to them. Find the full style guide for each spot under our Collections tab, curated by our in-house fashion experts.

Head to our Instagram for all the details on our upcoming giveaway, created in collaboration with some of our favorite local spots!

FOR GIRLS ON THE GO: BURR AND BERRY COFFEE

What it is: This drive-through coffee shop is a little gem of Charlotte. Burr and Berry boasts an extensive menu of classic and signature coffees, blended coolers, energy drinks, teas, and more– all thoughtfully crafted in-house. Each of their three locations around Charlotte offers both drive-through service and an outdoor seating area.

Why we love it: Our team is obsessed with their seasonal offerings and lotus energy drinks, which you can customize with one of Burr and Berry’s 50+ flavor offerings. Beyond their delicious drinks, the kind staff and reasonable prices solidified this place as a go-to spot of ours.

What we’re wearing: Whoever said you can’t dress up for a coffee run? We’re bringing out looks that are comfortable, yet still curated. Pair the Khloe Basic Top with these Free People Barrel Overalls, accessorizing with sunnies and a claw clip, for an effortlessly cool, all-day outfit. For those early-morning weekend coffee runs, go even cozier with the matching Hallie Top and Hannah Short. Shop the full coffee run collection HERE.

FOR THE COMPETITIVE SPIRIT (AND THEIR CHEERLEADERS): RALLY

What it is: Pickleball. You know it, you love it. To us, it’s an excuse to wear that adorable workout set. Rally isn’t just a place to play, but also chill, eat, and treat yourself with a post-win craft cocktail at the bar. Each pre-reserved court has its own lounge area, where you can be a valuable asset to your team by cheering them on (and eating all the appetizers.) We love the option for an indoor court when it gets too hot here in the South.

Why we love it: If you’re looking to plan an activity for a work party, bachelorette activity, or just a fun afternoon with friends, Rally is a great choice. The spot also has plenty of sign-up opportunities to compete, move up in the ranks, and meet new friends– including the Fourth of July Round Robin doubles competition or the weekly Hot Girls Play Pickleball Club.

What we’re wearing: Whether you’re playing or just there to hang out, Rally is the perfect spot to flaunt those tennis skirts and dresses, tanks, biker shorts, or anything else that makes you want to move. This In Your Court Mini Dress by Z Supply is sporty, stylish and comfortable. It can be sunny on the outdoor courts, so don’t forget your trucker hats and sunnies. FOR A GOOD TIME, NO MATTER THE TIME OF DAY: RESIDENT CULTURE

What it is: When we think of South End, we think of Resident Culture. What sets this brewery apart–much like Charlotte itself– is its ability to transform effortlessly to suit the time of day. Some know the spot for its delicious coffee, while others stop in for a quick bite and brew in the afternoon, or to dance in a red-tinted glow as the place adopts a club-like atmosphere at night. The food menu offers breakfast, lunch, and bar bites, and its drink list is extensive with specialty cocktails, wine, and beer, brewed in-house.

Why we love it: The beer is great, but the energy is even better. This local spot prides itself on community, encouraging all patrons to be themselves without fear of judgement. We recommend stopping by to take advantage of their weeknight specials or special events, including World Cup watch parties, a comedy show, speed dating, and more!

What we’re wearing: For an outing at RC, we’re eyeing those outfits that are low-effort, yet stylish. Think of those go-to staples you reach for again and again that make you confident and comfortable. If you want to elevate your look, try accessorizing with bracelet stacks or necklace layering. We’re loving these printed Free People barrel jeans with an Oversize Crop Core Tee and Back70 sneakers. Shop the full brewery collection HERE.

    TO TREAT YOURSELF: LELUIA HALL

What it is: Leluia Hall just opened in Charlotte – and trust us, it’s worth the visit. Located in a renovated church originally built in 1914, the atmosphere itself is enough to create a memorable experience: imagine high ceilings and large windows, allowing golden sunset light to pour in while you dine. The menu offers creative twists on surf and turf, with standout items like wagyu ribeye tiny tacos with house-made tortillas and saffron honey chicken. It’s truly an outstanding addition to Charlotte’s upscale dining scene.

Why we love it: Leluia Hall is a perfect choice for those special occasions, like an anniversary dinner or a meal with visiting parents. For when getting through the work week is reason enough to celebrate, walk in for a cocktail at the bar, no reservation needed. The three-story restaurant even offers a private dining option in their wine cellar for up to ten guests– a gorgeous, photo-worthy spot for your bestie’s upcoming birthday dinner.

What we’re wearing: Leluia Hall brings experimental, coastal elegance to South End, and its guests dress the part. Get out your floral dresses, statement jewelry, and linen. The restaurant itself follows a color palette of navy blue, greens, browns, and white, so use these to guide your style. We’re opting for the Moma Set and a pearl earring, or the butter yellow Limoni Midi Dress, a beachy statement necklace, and the Ocean Ave Platform Sandal. FOR YOUR NEXT GNO: FOLIA

What it is: Despite its unassuming entry way, the atmosphere inside Folia feels fresh and vibrant, reminiscent of a New York speakeasy. Their cocktails and mocktails are meticulously crafted, with many citrusy, refreshing options for those toasty summer days. Whether you’re stopping in for weekend brunch, light bites after work, or a late-night cocktail to catch the DJ, Folia is a versatile spot that never disappoints.

Why we love it: We’re loving the martini and food specials on Tuesdays and 50% off wine bottles on Wednesday. While it can get busy on weekend nights, Folia offers reservations to help you plan that GNO or date night in advance. Two unique cocktails our team loves? The Aviation and Vanilla Tequila Manhattan. Even the bartenders are raving about these two.

What we’re wearing: From the atmosphere to the drinks, Folia’s strength is its intentional details and elevated vibe. Mirror this in your outfit and you’ll fit right in. We’re reaching for the Priya Top and matching Priya Pant for a structured, sexy nighttime look. Pair it with a dressy sandal and an pastel clutch to keep the details fun and summery.
